For too long, Leicestershire hasn't received a fair share of funding compared to other parts of the Country.

The funding formula is not transparent and is out of date.

I care passionately about preserving our beautiful landscapes, villages and towns.

We need a planning system that empowers communities and local councillors, to ensure development is done in the right places.

I am a strong advocate of good education and I am fighting for fair funding for our schools.  I went to a state school and then university and want to make sure others have the same chances I had.

I am campaigning for investment in our roads, rail service and broadband. Improving our infrastructure can help to bring more businesses and jobs to the constituency and help our day to day lives run more smoothly.

One of the things that makes this such a special place is the really strong sense of community.  That’s true in Harborough, Oadby and Wigston too.  There is a huge amount of voluntary and charity work here, and I’m keen to support this wherever possible.

One of the things that brought me into politics is a belief in the importance of law and order.
