Better road, rail service and broadband

I am campaigning for investment in our roads, rail service and broadband. Improving our infrastructure can help to bring more businesses and jobs to the constituency and help our day to day lives run more smoothly.

On the railway I am campaigning to bring electrification of the midland mainline further north to Market Harborough, so that we get more of the benefits of electrification (quieter starting, less pollution) once new “bi-mode” trains arrive in the coming years. I’ll continue to press for full electrification. I’m also pressing for further improvements Market Harborough station. And I’m working to make sure we get more services and in the forthcoming rail franchise.

On the roads I have been making the case for upgrades to the A6, and I am often in contact with the county council about potholes – please get in touch if you have a problem.
