Over the last few weeks, Neil O’Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston has been visiting schools in the constituency. Neil is very active in the constituency and often visits local schools to speak to the students to explain what an MP does, and talk about how our democracy works.
On Friday the 22 September, Neil O’Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston attended the Navratri Festival in Leicester. Navaratri is a nine night festival that honours the Mother Goddess in all her manifestations. It's a festival full of worship and dance.
Neil O’Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston, has taken the campaign to get fairer funding for Leicestershire to the heart of government, taking Leicestershire County Council officials to meet key decision makers in No.10 Downing Street and the Treasury.
Neil O'Brien has accompanied Leicestershire campaigners to Downing Street to deliver a petition against the creation of "shared space" roads where pedestrians mingle with motorists and cyclists without pavements or fixed pedestrian crossings to separate them.
On Friday 28 July, Neil O’Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston joined the Leicester Critical Mass "ride for Sam" in memory of Sam Boulton. Sam's parents, who live in Wigston, are campaigning for changes to improve road safety for cyclists.
