Burford Green Community Centre Plan Scrapped

Plans to build over much of this well-used green space have now been paused after a strong local backlash - with over 1,300 residents signing a petition.

At a packed public meeting at the Royalist, local councillor David Page made clear the plans won’t be going ahead in their current form. Credit to David for listening to residents and pushing for change.

There is a case for improving facilities - but not at the cost of losing one of the few green spaces people use every day.
