I had a constructive meeting with Miller Homes to resolve the issues on Devana Way, Great Glen.
In the short term they, Miller, undertook to fix:
-The street sign that is down
-The lamppost lamps that are out
-The play area / open space issues
-And empty the dog mess bins more often
I will now also convene a meeting (to bang heads together) between officials of the county council, the district council and Severn Trent to get the estate finally adopted by the councils (which should have happened years ago).
We ran through the issues that have stalled this - Miller also apologised with the issues with sewage at the bottom of the estate which affected residents for far too long. Local councillors Phil King, Peter Scott and Rani Mahal have also been working on this and thanks to residents who have been compiling evidence of the problems.
