Families and businesses are being hammered by rising diesel prices as the Iran conflict pushes up costs globally. I’ve seen locally how prices are going up and up, and even supply is under pressure because we are not making full use of our own resources in the North Sea. It’s a crazy policy – and even Labour MPs and the unions are saying the same.

We cannot rely on events overseas to keep our lights on. We need to take control of our own energy supply.

A Conservative government would get Britain drilling again – boosting revenue, strengthening our energy security and easing the pressure at the pumps
