Neil O’Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby & Wigston is encouraging constituents to have their say on proposals to relocate the offices for Oadby & Wigston Borough Council. The proposals would see the Council vacate their current site on Station Road in Wigston, moving to Brocks Hill County Park. Renovation work would be carried out to the visitor centre ahead of the relocation.
The deadline for comments is the 29th March 2022, with the Planning Committee due to make a decision on Thursday 28th April 2022.
Neil said, “This is an important decision for the Borough and it is important that as many residents as possible have their say on these proposals to ensure we arrive at the best possible outcome here, both for constituents as well as the Council that local residents fund via their council tax. I understand there has been a bit of confusion around the deadline for comments, but the Council has confirmed this as the 29th March 2022. Please ensure you share your comments by this date so they are taken into consideration for this application.”
