Passengers on the Midland Mainline are facing unacceptable service from EMR. With trains removed before the new Aurora fleet was ready, there are now too few trains in operation, leading to overcrowding, cancellations, delays, broken toilets and doors, failing air conditioning, and poor reliability.
Commuters are paying thousands of pounds each year for travel but receiving a service that falls far below expectations. I have asked what compensation will be offered to passengers and what lessons are being learned to ensure this mistake is never repeated.
