I've had further reports about oil dumping off the A6 by Little Bowden. The Environment Agency are on their way to investigate.
At the start of April they cleared up the equivalent of 2,000 bathtubs of oil-polluted water and 16 tonnes of solids - but up there today there was still plenty of oil about when I went to look, and it still smells.
The Environment Agency and council are investigating whether this is a new spill. If you know anything please do report it to the police or Environment Agency - it's a really horrible crime.
