I recently asked LINK to review the case for a Banking Hub in Oadby and Wigston after hearing from residents who were concerned about the continued loss of local banking services.
When Lloyds Bank in Wigston closes in November, it will mark the eighth bank closure across the borough.
I'm pleased to say that LINK has agreed to carry out a full assessment for Oadby. As part of this, they will look at whether residents and local businesses have access to the cash services they need and whether a Banking Hub is required.
I'll keep residents updated as soon as LINK publishes its findings for Oadby.
