Have your say: should Oadby & Wigston become part of Leicester?

The Government is considering changes to local councils. One proposal from Leicester’s City Mayor would expand the city boundary to include the whole of Oadby & Wigston.

A final decision is expected this summer.

Despite the scale of this proposal, the Government has said there will be no referendum. Over 12,000 people in Leicestershire have already signed a petition saying they are unhappy with this plan.

Because there will not be a vote, I am asking local residents directly for their views.
